Description

RAISING AWARENESS OF RARE AND LESS COMMON CANCERS

We are delighted to invite you or a representative of your charity, and a patient or family member associated with your charity, to a reception in the House of Commons to raise awareness of rare and less common cancers amongst MPs at the House of Commons.

At the event we will be aiming to provide MPs, many of whom are recently elected in either the 2015 or 2017 general elections, with data which illustrates how many people in their local area are affected by rare or less common cancers, and a sense of the impact of a rare or less common cancer by listening to patients who will speak about their experiences.

It's a critical time for rare and less common cancers as the implementation of the Cancer Strategy progresses and we need as much political awareness of the sheer quantity and impact of cancers outside the big four as we can get.

Which is why we will need your help in ensuring that MPs attend. It is a great opportunity for them to be introduced to charities and patients within their constituency, and to allow us to publicise their attendance through photography and media outreach.

You and the charity you support will also be able to use those photographs freely.
